Out of the Darkness: Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk
November 2022
The Out of the Darkness: Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention; a community walk that is held in many cities across the country. These events give individuals the tools needed to maneuver mental health with skill and grace while also providing a safe space for those who have lost someone to suicide to come together in their memory and laugh, cry, share memories and walk to spread awareness on suicide, the warning signs and the lasting effects that it has on those left behind. Follow our social media for updates on the next walk. We hope to see you there!
Holiday Giveback @ Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Aflac Unit
Annually
For the holidays we collaborated with a group of mothers who go by Warrior Moms Unite to bring holiday cheer to boys and girls suffering from childhood cancer at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta! In addition to raising money for each childhood cancer unit, we also had the pleasure of decorating the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Aflac unit at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite! We look forward to putting up the Christmas tree and bringing lots of joy to the Aflac patients and their parents for years to come!
The Holiday Persistence Program
December 2022
Last year we worked with the Rockdale Women's Shelter who had 10 children write out their Christmas lists. We also serviced two additional children from the community bring our total to 12. We are more than happy to announce that we were indeed able to fully provide everything to every child that was on their list with your help! Gifts included toys, clothes, books, games, gift cards and so much more. We can't wait to make the impact again for Christmas 2024.
Women Who Pray
Ongoing
The Women Who Pray Book Club" is a gathering of like-minded women who come together to explore literature that centers around themes of spirituality, lifestyle, faith, and prayer. This club is a safe and nurturing space where members not only discuss books but also share personal experiences and insights related to their spiritual journeys. With a focus on books that inspire deep reflection and discussion, it provides an opportunity for women to connect, grow spiritually, and strengthen their sense of community through the power of literature and prayer.
